KINDNESS MATTERS

This past Monday was #RandomActsOfKindnessDay, which got us thinking about Haven of Rest, a local organization that exhibits radical kindness to the community. On Ready, Set, Renovate, we usually talk about home transformations, but today we're talking about a different kind of transformation: transformation of the heart.

Haven of Rest is a ministry in Anderson, SC that exists to see those bound by life-dominating problems (like addiction) rescued, restored, and released through the love of the Lord Jesus. The Haven strives to welcome and support their clients like family, and this path of compassionate care and kindness has resulted in many changed hearts and lives. We sat down with a Haven of Rest client and the executive director, Eddie Capps, to learn about the ministry's mission, programs, and impact.
