Daniel Jachens began developing his construction skills at age 14. He worked for a licensed builder through an apprenticeship program for 3 years. He then continued working with the same builder including primary maintenance responsibilities for a Christian school and camp thus gaining a broad range of construction experience. Daniel started Dan’s Handyman Service in 2001 and acquired his residential builder’s license in 2007. With a total of 19 years in construction business, he has become very competent in all aspects of construction.
Bob Cord began an engineering/management career after graduating from Georgia Tech in 1975. Working for Factory Mutual Engineering, Owens Corning, and BASF over the next 32 years, he developed experience in design, production management, process control, technical management, marketing, customer support, and R&D. Wanting to develop a local business from the ground up, he left the corporate world to partner with Daniel Jachens, his son-in-law, to start Daniel Builders, Inc.
Anita is a 20-year resident of Anderson, South Carolina. She joined Daniel Builders in April 2016 with a strong background in financial management, primarily in the construction industry. Her experience includes developing management processes for several start-up businesses, as well as managing financial responsibilities for an outpatient center. Anita currently serves as Daniel Builders’ financial manager.

David is the Production Superintendent at Daniel Builders. David joined the team full time in June 2008, also doing general construction. He is a graduate of the University of South Carolina, working in construction for 5 years prior to joining Daniel Builders.
Josh began developing a renovation expertise at a young age, and over the years gained valuable experience in electrical, HVAC, cabinet, and trim work. He co-owned and operated a flooring company for 5 years where he honed his skill for installing hardwood and tile floors. He later transitioned to an account manager position for a national flooring store. Currently, Josh is the “voice of Daniel Builders”! Customers interested in renovation work speak with Josh as the first point of contact for Daniel Builders.
Dexter has over 39 years of project management experience in residential and commercial construction. Commercially, he’s managed projects ranging from shopping centers to medical centers to industrial facilities. Prior to his extensive work experience, Dexter studied Building Construction Technology and Architectural Engineering. Dexter resides in Anderson, South Carolina with his wife Mary Ann, where he is an instrumental part of Calvary Home for children, a local orphanage.
As far back as age 12 Darren has been associated with building and construction. He learned all facets of cabinetry, from fabrication to assembly to finishing and installation, while working in the family cabinet business. After earning a business management degree in 2000, Darren made Greenville his home. He continued refining his carpentry skill for several years while employed at a small, Greenville-based remodeling company. Prior to joining Daniel Builders, he was an account manager for a national flooring retailer. Now, as a Daniel Builders project manager, Darren is an excellent problem solver who focuses on delighting customers with exceptional quality.
Early in life Andy learned a lot about construction from his father simply by working on projects around the house. He further honed his skills in roofing and painting during weekends. He eventually went to work for a local flooring company, and developed a knowledge of flooring strong enough to start and co-own a flooring business. Andy has 15 years’ experience in flooring installation, specializing in hardwood and tile flooring, custom tile showers, and tile backsplashes. When not working, Andy enjoys spending time with family, playing basketball and furthering his carpentry skills.
Rob began a career in construction shortly after graduating from Anderson University in 2006. He was trained by Daniel Jachens as a carpenter at Dan’s Handyman Service, and stayed with the business as it developed into Daniel Builders. He and his family moved to Saint Louis in 2013. There he worked part time as a carpenter for a small remodeling company, while earning a Master of Divinity degree from Covenant Seminary. In 2017 he returned to Anderson, and he is now once again utilizing his skills in carpentry to implement the plans of the customers and designers of Daniel Builders.
Chris has an impressive background with over 24 years of experience in multiple facets of construction. Areas of his expertise include framing, roofing, electrical, trim, sheetrock, siding, wood flooring, tile, and painting. For several years Chris played an instrumental role at Calvary Children’s Home. Based in Anderson, South Carolina, this home has provided a safe living environment for abused, neglected or orphaned children. For 6 years Chris was the Home’s construction supervisor. He and his wife Laurie later became house parents and served in that role for 5 years. Chris is currently a lead carpenter at Daniel Builders.
Taylor was born and raised in Greenville, South Carolina. He attended Greenville High School, where he competed in lacrosse and football. After graduating Taylor returned to his alma mater to coach lacrosse. Taylor began fine-tuning his passion for carpentry while working in the commercial construction industry. He currently possesses a wide array of carpentry abilities. In his spare time Taylor enjoys building furniture in his workshop.
Paul began developing his skills in construction at age 16. After 30 years in the industry, Paul’s experience and general knowledge cover nearly every area of building and construction. He has been licensed as a residential contractor and master plumber. Before coming on board with Daniel Builders, Paul owned and operated a plumbing business. Now he oversees the plumbing responsibilities for Daniel Builders’ renovations.
Jeremy began honing a diverse skill set from a young age, working alongside his father on rental homes and vehicles. After high school he moved to Colorado and gained more experience in framing, finish carpentry, electrical and plumbing. He holds an Economics degree from Strayer University. Jeremy demonstrates a strong commitment to doing quality work.
Jacob became familiar with construction and tools early in his life. He remembers playing in red clay on construction sites, and installing cabinetry hardware as a child. He started to get serious about his carpentry while working with his dad in a cabinet shop. At age 15 Jacob came to work for Daniel Builders. Since joining the Daniel Builders team, he has developed many more carpentry skills. He truly has a “can do” attitude, and frequently demonstrates an ability to problem solve. In his free time Jacob enjoys Clemson football.
