Daniel Jachens began developing his construction skills at age 14. He worked for a licensed builder through an apprenticeship program for 3 years. He then continued working with the same builder including primary maintenance responsibilities for a Christian school and camp thus gaining a broad range of construction experience. Daniel started Dan’s Handyman Service in 2001 and acquired his residential builder’s license in 2007. With a total of 19 years in construction business, he has become very competent in all aspects of construction.
Bob Cord began an engineering/management career after graduating from Georgia Tech in 1975. Working for Factory Mutual Engineering, Owens Corning, and BASF over the next 32 years, he developed experience in design, production management, process control, technical management, marketing, customer support, and R&D. Wanting to develop a local business from the ground up, he left the corporate world to partner with Daniel Jachens, his son-in-law, to start Daniel Builders, Inc.
David is the Production Superintendent at Daniel Builders. David joined the team full time in June 2008, also doing general construction. He is a graduate of the University of South Carolina, working in construction for 5 years prior to joining Daniel Builders.
Will’s primary responsibility with Daniel Builders is sales and marketing. With an MBA from Winthrop, experience in real estate and years of serving the public as Patient Advocate for AnMed Health, he understands well the needs and expectations of our customers. Contact him today.
Josh began developing a renovation expertise at a young age, and over the years gained valuable experience in electrical, HVAC, cabinet, and trim work. He co-owned and operated a flooring company for 5 years where he honed his skill for installing hardwood and tile floors. He later transitioned to an account manager position for a national flooring store. Currently, Josh is the “voice of Daniel Builders”! Customers interested in renovation work speak with Josh as the first point of contact for Daniel Builders.
At an early age Jeremy started honing a diverse skill set while working alongside his father on rental homes and vehicles. He gained significant experience in framing, finish carpentry, electrical and plumbing in Colorado, as well as his hometown of Anderson, South Carolina. He has a degree in economics from Strayer University, which he earned while doing general contracting work. Jeremy’s long term vision with Daniel Builders is to create beautiful custom environments alongside a team sharing his commitment to exceptional quality.
Cameron’s passion for woodworking and architectural design was evident from an early age. These skills and interests developed as he worked alongside his father, building custom homes across southwest Georgia. After graduating high school, Cameron moved from Columbus, Georgia to Charleston, South Carolina, where he attended the American College of the Building Arts. He graduated with a degree in Timber Framing. Cameron thrives on understanding and exceeding the expectations of our customers.
Dexter has over 39 years of project management experience in residential and commercial construction. Commercially, he’s managed projects ranging from shopping centers to medical centers to industrial facilities. Prior to his extensive work experience, Dexter studied Building Construction Technology and Architectural Engineering. Dexter resides in Anderson, South Carolina with his wife Mary Ann, where he is an instrumental part of Calvary Home for children, a local orphanage.
Wendi graduated from the University of South Carolina with a marketing degree. Her 15+ years' combined experience includes residential renovation, commercial renovation, real estate, and design. Wendi co-owned and operated a Greenville, South Carolina-based construction company. She also gained extensive real estate experience as an investor. Wendi has a clear passion for design and remodeling. She has an ability to understand and articulate design ideas with great clarity. As an active 35 year resident of Greenville, Wendi truly cares about her community. Her primary responsibility at Daniel Builders is developing Greenville’s commercial and residential markets.
Chris has an impressive background with over 24 years of experience in multiple facets of construction. Areas of his expertise include framing, roofing, electrical, trim, sheetrock, siding, wood flooring, tile, and painting. For several years Chris played an instrumental role at Calvary Children’s Home. Based in Anderson, South Carolina, this home has provided a safe living environment for abused, neglected or orphaned children. For 6 years Chris was the Home’s construction supervisor. He and his wife Laurie later became house parents and served in that role for 5 years. Chris is currently a lead carpenter at Daniel Builders.
Anita is a 20-year resident of Anderson, South Carolina. She joined Daniel Builders in April 2016 with a strong background in financial management, primarily in the construction industry. Her experience includes developing management processes for several start-up businesses, as well as managing financial responsibilities for an outpatient center. Anita currently serves as Daniel Builders’ financial manager.
Taylor was born and raised in Greenville, South Carolina. He attended Greenville High School, where he competed in lacrosse and football. After graduating Taylor returned to his alma mater to coach lacrosse. Taylor began fine-tuning his passion for carpentry while working in the commercial construction industry. He currently possesses a wide array of carpentry abilities. In his spare time Taylor enjoys building furniture in his workshop.
As far back as age 12 Darren has been associated with building and construction. He learned all facets of cabinetry, from fabrication to assembly to finishing and installation, while working in the family cabinet business. After earning a business management degree in 2000, Darren made Greenville his home. He continued refining his carpentry skill for several years while employed at a small, Greenville-based remodeling company. Prior to joining Daniel Builders, he was an account manager for a national flooring retailer. Now, as a Daniel Builders project manager, Darren is an excellent problem solver who focuses on delighting customers with exceptional quality.
Paul began developing his skills in construction at age 16. After 30 years in the industry, Paul’s experience and general knowledge cover nearly every area of building and construction. He has been licensed as a residential contractor and master plumber. Before coming on board with Daniel Builders, Paul owned and operated a plumbing business. Now he oversees the plumbing responsibilities for Daniel Builders’ renovations.
Rob began a career in construction shortly after graduating from Anderson University in 2006. He was trained by Daniel Jachens as a carpenter at Dan’s Handyman Service, and stayed with the business as it developed into Daniel Builders. He and his family moved to Saint Louis in 2013. There he worked part time as a carpenter for a small remodeling company, while earning a Master of Divinity degree from Covenant Seminary. In 2017 he returned to Anderson, and he is now once again utilizing his skills in carpentry to implement the plans of the customers and designers of Daniel Builders.
Early in life Andy learned a lot about construction from his father simply by working on projects around the house. He further honed his skills in roofing and painting during weekends. He eventually went to work for a local flooring company, and developed a knowledge of flooring strong enough to start and co-own a flooring business. Andy has 15 years’ experience in flooring installation, specializing in hardwood and tile flooring, custom tile showers, and tile backsplashes. When not working, Andy enjoys spending time with family, playing basketball and furthering his carpentry skills.
