OUR GUIDE-DESIGN-BUILD PROCESS Has your home ever undergone a major remodel and you enjoyed the process? Custom renovations are notoriously unpredictable. A smooth, predictable renovation process hard to find and that’s because no two custom renovations are alike. Unknowns abound. For example, what will you find when a 25 year old wall is torn out? Why do permitting delays unexpectedly happen? Or how will you modify that “must have” vanity to fit your custom bathroom upgrade? Over the years we’ve learned how to manage the renovation process at an optimal level through a process we call Guide-Design-Build. OUR PROCESS Guide: The path to your custom renovation starts with a 10 minute conversation. Afterwards, we meet with you in your home and begin clarifying general project scope. Design: After you sign our Design agreement, the project moves into the Design phase. Architectural drawings, selections from paint color to fixtures, a detailed scope of work, and a Fixed Price are Design phase deliverables. Build: You’ll be introduced to your Project Manager, who will schedule, coordinate, and communicate all aspects of the project until completion. HOME RENOVATIONS & HOME REMODELS Strong processes, expertise in Design, and gifted craftsmen are a few characteristics of our business, but all of that is meaningless if Building Trust fails. • 2022 Bridge Award Winner 450K to 550K - South Carolina - Daniel Builders

2022 2022 BRIDGE AWARD WINNER (450K - 550K) TRANSITIONAL OPEN CONCEPT Daniel Builders was named 2022 Bridge Awards Winner for “Best Bathroom and Best Kitchen in a Full Home Remodel $450K-$550K” for the “McDaniel Avenue” house. The Bridge Awards are presented annually by GBS Building Supply and produced by the Home Builders Association of Greenville to recognize excellence in craftsmanship and professionalism in the Home Building industry in the Upstate. "THIS PROJECT HAD SOME UNEXPECTED TWISTS AND TURNS, BUT WE COULDN'T BE MORE PLEASED WITH HOW IT TURNED OUT! IT WAS A TRUE HONOR FOR THESE CLIENTS TO ENTRUST US WITH SUCH A BEAUTIFUL HOME BUILT IN THE 1930S." - BOB CORD, DANIEL BUILDERS This home, built in 1937, was gutted from floor to ceiling. Engineered beams were used to open up a very segmented floor plan and create a better flow from the front to the rear of the home on the main floor. An additional eight hundred square feet was added by enclosing and completing the unfinished basement, transforming it into entertainment space. Throughout the course of this seven month renovation, this home's common areas, kitchen, bathrooms, utility rooms, and bedrooms were completely restored. Additionally, a large six hundred square foot deck with a parking area underneath was built. As expected in a home of this age, when walls were opened we discovered the entire house was completely uninsulated while none of the utilities were up to code. One highly complex element of this remodel requiring extensive engineering insight was removing multiple load bearing walls above a second story. Previous Next Back to Awards Gallery "WE LOVE IT! THERE'S NOT ONE THING WHERE I LOOK AROUND AND SAY, 'THAT WASN'T DONE RIGHT.' ALL THESE LITTLE THINGS THAT DANIEL BUILDERS DOES...FROM THE WAY THEY DRESS, TO THE WAY THEY ADDRESS THE CLIENT, TO THE WAY THEY KEEP THINGS CLEAN, NOT SMOKING ONSITE...IT ALL GIVES YOU CONFIDENCE." - MCDANIEL AVENUE CLIENT

Recapping 2021 with Before & After images. We completed a Historic Renovation in Downtown Anderson. The building is located at 106 Benson Street and now the site of Katharine Marie Bridal . It was originally constructed in the early 1900s and has been beautifully preserved. Now it's another great reason to come to downtown Anderson, SC . Here's the Before & After This "Before" image goes back to the early 1900s: Then fast-forward to 2021 for the "After": We didn't go looking for historic renovations, they just seemed to find us in 2021. Fortunately, we turned out to be pretty good at them. In the summer we completed the renovation of a 120+ year old home. Here's the video recap of that project . Another area where we expanded our ability was in the realm of 3D Renderings. This year we actually created quite an extensive library of these virtual renderings. Here's an example from a bathroom renovation and how we transitioned from before the project began: To the rendering: To reality: In 2021 we saw Lazy Susan and Blind Corner Cabinets reinvent themselves: Every year we capture some stunning "Before & After" photos. This year we went to a whole new level. Before: After: We don't typically build furniture, but this renovation required custom bunk beds for visiting grandchildren. So, here's what we did: In 2021 we added more talent to our already talented team. These folks are definitely gifted, but even better at Building Trust: Thank you for your connection to the DB team. We are grateful to all who helped us fill 2021 with positive memories and milestones. Now on to 2022! Happy New Year! Are you contemplating a major home renovation? BUILDING TRUST BLOG KITCHEN ASPIRATIONS Here are the characteristics of an amazing kitchen renovation. < Back Will Cord 2019-10-31 Here are the characteristics of an amazing kitchen renovation. How well does your kitchen work for you? Soon the heavy cooking/entertaining holidays of Thanksgiving and Christmas will be here. And they will reveal much (good, bad, and ugly) about your kitchen. It's the perfect time to evaluate and move toward a more functional and inspirational kitchen space. Here are 5 areas where your kitchen can work better for you. Island - Workstation - From a functional standpoint, the island is your kitchen’s greatest asset. Why? An island has all the functional elements - countertop space, storage, and appliance options. Plus, you have 360-degree access to all of it. You’re basically adding a whole new dimension of functionality. As for inspiration, the island is a perfect area for displaying what inspires you to cook, like your favorite cookbooks. Cabinetry - Work Clutter Free - Kitchen space is prime real estate and good cabinetry ensures you don’t waste any of it. Focus your spending here. And if you insist on cutting corners with cabinetry, then do so with an appliance garage. One of the most effective ways to utilize corner space! As for inspiration, beautiful kitchens all have one common element - beautiful cabinetry. Lighting - Work with Clarity - The realm of kitchen lighting is full of many new cutting-edge developments. Whether it’s pendants, recess, flush mounts, track lighting or a beautiful chandelier, really good lighting options are available. As for getting power to the light source, plug mold multi outlet strips to under counter electrical box fit nicely in almost any design. As for inspiration, you want your kitchen radiant. Appliances - Work toward Reliability - Literally countless gimmicks will temp you to make an impulse buy. Don’t take the bait. Your design (#5) should be guiding you through appliance selection long before you hit the showroom floor. Remember reliability is your highest priority and having a strong warranty a close second. As for the endless features? You can educate yourself first online. As for inspiration, appliances make a great supporting cast for beautiful kitchens. Layout - Make it Work - What is your cooking style? Gourmet chef or microwave warrior? Do you entertain? Do you want others “hanging out” in your kitchen? Or is it your exclusive domain? Questions like this should shape your kitchen's design and layout. As for inspiration, a great design process helps you visualize your kitchen (and make all the right selections) before it becomes a WOW reality. Your functional and inspirational kitchen is one Daniel Builders design-renovation away. Are you contemplating a major home renovation?
